I found these plants
of L. nummularia
about 230 km north
of Tapichalaca, on
the Mendez-Paute road.
At the time I collected
these, I did not suspect
that L. nummularia
was actually a complex
of species, and so
I did not make lateral
photos. I do have
the specimens in alcohol
though, and will add
photos of those specimens
to this page in the
future. These flowers
do not match a Tapichalaca
form exactly. They
have small lips most
like Form B, but fat
columns most like
Forms A and C. I shall
call it Form E. This
same form occurs in
Baños,
Galeras,
and La
Bonita.
